Alongside clubs and open airs, Claudius has played corporate and brand events for years – from store openings and company parties to international brand launches. Curated rather than merely amplified: a set that fits the evening instead of working against it.
A selection of brands and clients Claudius has played for.
Most corporate events are amplified rather than shaped. A playlist runs, the volume climbs through the evening, and at some point someone plays the tracks that always get played. It works – but it is interchangeable, and it says nothing about the company that sent the invitations.
Claudius works differently. A set begins where the evening begins: restrained during the reception, so conversation stays possible. It opens up when the programme allows, and carries the late hours without overrunning the room. That dramaturgy does not come from a prepared list but from reading the room as it is.
Musically he moves between melodic house, indie dance and deep house – genres that put atmosphere before force. For a corporate audience that is the decisive difference: the music is present without becoming the subject.
A company party has several phases, and each one needs something different. The reception depends on people being able to talk. After the official part – speeches, awards, dinner – the evening tips, and the music helps decide whether guests stay or leave.
That transition is the actual work. It cannot be planned in advance, because it depends on how long the speeches run, how full the room is and who is still there. Claudius plays it from the situation – one continuous arc instead of a break between background music and dance floor.
For many companies the Christmas party is the one evening of the year when the entire workforce comes together – from the board to the apprentices. That makes it musically more demanding than any other format: the age range in the room is wider, expectations diverge further, and nobody should feel left out.
The answer is not a compromise that pleases no one, but dramaturgy. A set that starts broad and narrows as the evening goes on brings everyone along and does not lose the ones who stayed.
For December dates an early enquiry is worth it – the weeks before Christmas are the tightest period of the year for any DJ.
At brand events music is part of the staging, not an accessory. It has to match how the brand presents itself – its pace, its restraint or its confidence. A set for a watch launch sounds different from one for a sports brand, even if both could happen in the same room.
Most of the clients listed on this page come from this field. That is why briefings with marketing and event agencies tend to be short: the setting is familiar, and so are the requirements.
At corporate events the DJ is rarely responsible for the evening alone. There are speeches, award presentations, video segments, often a technical contractor and an agency running the schedule. The music has to fit into that plan – drop on cue when a microphone opens, and build again afterwards without letting the room fall away.
So the first step is coordination with whoever runs the show, not the music selection. When does the official part end, how long does it actually take, when does the buffet open, when do the first guests leave. The dramaturgy of the evening follows almost by itself from those points.
The technical setup is lean: four players, one mixer, one monitor. Where a sound system is already in place, it is used – at venues with in-house technology that is the norm and saves time in the load-in window.
Frankfurt is a financial centre, and a large share of corporate events here run in English or have international guests. Claudius has played outside Germany for years – including residencies in Mykonos and Dubai and an appearance at the Beach Polo Cup Dubai.
For events abroad or with an international audience that changes nothing about the process, but a great deal about how naturally it runs.
Not every format is a match, and it is cheaper for both sides to establish that before the booking rather than after. The focus is on music, not on hosting – anyone looking for someone to lead through the evening, run games or announce winners is better served by a host.
Nor is it about working through request lists. Individual tracks can of course be accommodated, and at an anniversary the founder's song belongs in the set. But an evening fixed track by track in advance does not need a curating DJ – a playlist will do, and frankly that is the cheaper option.
From the reception to the late hours – one continuous arc instead of playlist roulette.

Understated in the background or carrying the room – depending on the format.

Technical Rider (PDF)Melodic house, indie dance and deep house form the basis, extended with classics and more familiar tracks where the evening calls for it. The mix comes from the audience and the occasion on the night – not from a playlist fixed in advance.
Yes. That is the usual course: restrained and conversation-friendly during the reception and dinner, then opening up step by step. Formats without a dance floor – trade fairs, receptions, product presentations – are equally possible.
The focus is Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region. Enquiries from across Germany and internationally are welcome – he has played across Europe for years and holds residencies in Mykonos and Dubai.
